Completed in four days, these 24 fanciful miniatures capture some delightful observations and experiences that any youth might enjoy. This is the first American edition based on the composer's original manuscript. Since the pieces were published in 1878, they have become part of the standard educational piano literature and make a necessary addition to the Schirmer Performance Editions.

Includes online audio for all the songs recorded by the editor, Alexandre Dossin. Dossin is a graduate of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and received first prize at the 2003 Martha Argerich Intenational Piano Competition.
