Waldmeister Ouvertüre

The first version of the overture may not have contained the Allegretto moderato with the hunting motifs added later for printing. This is why the overture is now played in both versions (this instrumentation for wind orchestra takes both possibilities into account).

The world premiere of the operetta Waldmeister took place in Vienna in 1896. The first version of the overture must not have contained the Allegretto moderate with the hunting motifs added by the söäter for the print. Therefore, this overture is played in both versions.
