Etudes for the 1st fingering, which also sound good, are hardly to be found. Vladimir Rivkin closes this gap with the "Music Box", in which 31 pieces with stimulating titles help to solve violin-specific problems. All pieces are in the 1st fingering. The highlight is the three-movement Concertino, for which only the 1st fingering is required. The etudes in the violin part are supplemented by well-known folk songs and daily exercises.
