The String Quartets

The classical-romantic string quartet is part of the central repertoire issued by G. Henle Publishers. Haydn and Beethoven have long been represented in Henle’s catalogue and on concert platforms worldwide, and the third of the Viennese classicists now follows: all 26 of Mozart’s string quartets (including the 3 “Salzburg Divertimenti”) are now available in Henle Urtext quality, whether as parts, as a digital edition (using our app) or as a study-edition (pocket score).

The latter is available as a whole set in a slipcase. This is a unique overview of Mozart’s entire output for string quartet. Edited by Mozart expert Wolf-Dieter Seiffert, all four volumes contain editorial surprises. This slipcase edition is thus the indispensable companion for all string quartet ensembles and Mozart fans.
