Modern Timpani Suite

Über dieses Stück Die „Modern Timpani Suite“ ist eine Suite in drei Sätzen für moderne, junge Pauker. Die drei Sätze repräsentieren jeweils ein Genre der Popularmusik und erweitern damit die Sololiteratur für Pauke. Außerdem bietet dieses Stück interessierten und neugierigen Musikern die Möglichkeit, das Interesse am Solospiel für Pauke zu entwickeln. Der Groove und der Spaß stehen dabei immer im Vordergrund! So soll mit verschiedenen Spieltechniken, wie z.B. Finger schnipsen, am Metallrand der Pauke spielen oder mit den Händen spielen, eine Erweiterung des Standard-Paukenspiels stattfinden, ohne jedoch gleich zu kompliziert zu wirken. Die Suite muss nicht zwingend zusammenhängend gespielt werden. Each movement represents a genre of popular music, expanding the solo repertoire for timpani. Additionally, this piece offers interested and curious musicians the opportunity to develop their interest in solo timpani performance. The focus is always on groove and enjoyment! Various playing techniques such as finger snapping, playing on the metal rim of the timpani, or playing with hands are used to expand the standard timpani playing without becoming overly complicated. The suite does not have to be performed as a whole.
