Susato Variations

Tylman Susato, one of the first music publishers, ran an instrument business and left behind several collections of arrangements of Dutch songs and dances as well as his own compositions. From his three Musyck Boexkens (Little Music Book), which he published in 1551, comes the Mohrentanz, whose theme appears 500 years later in Jan de Haan's work once as a whole and then in three charming variations.
