The Impromptus and Fantasias

The main sources used for this Revised Augener edition are the first French editions published in Paris by Schlesinger (Impromtus nos. 1 and 3) and Troupenas (Impromptus no. 2). The Fantaisie op. 49 is based on a Schlesinger edition of 1841 and the Fantasie-Impromptu on that of Maissonier Fils (Paris 1855) with emendations from the autographed fair copy (1835) referred to in the Introduction.
