Colors Of Naobo

To celebrate her 50th birthday, legendary percussionist Evelyn Glennie asked her favorite composers to write short solo works as performable gifts. Chen Yi responded with Colors of Naobo, a tour de force study in rhythm and sonority for a pair of small Chinese hand cymbals. Chen's inventive approach uses an interplay to combine 6 different ways of creating sounds from the pair of cymbals.
