Fantasia Helvetica

The Pfarreimusik Wünnewil-Flamatt commissioned a new work on the occasion of its 111th anniversary. They asked the composer to compose a piece lasting about eleven minutes and eleven seconds. Jan Van der Roost should also present some aspects of the orchestra's history and current events. The piece contains lyrical passages, cheerful and triumphant passages as well as slightly introverted sequences. Fantasia Helvetica is a varied concert piece with some challenging passages, but it is above all fun to play it!
