The two short easy pieces for wind quintet, (Méditations and Joyeuse Disposition), were composed for the use of young students in music conservatories and schools at a suitable level of technical and musical ability, giving them the opportunity to become accustomed to ensemble playing.

Instrumentation: flute, oboe, Bb clarinet 1, Bb clarinet 2 [or horn in F] and bassoon
