Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring originates from the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, BWV 147, and is among Johann Sebastian Bach’s most renowned chorales. In this arrangement, the main melody is distributed among the three Bb clarinets, providing an excellent opportunity to refine the overall sound and balance of the quartet.
In 2025, we commemorate the 275th anniversary of Johann Sebastian Bach’s passing. This special jubilee year presents the perfect opportunity to honour his timeless music and bring his extraordinary legacy back into the spotlight.
